Dear Friends,

Many of you by now will be familiar with the gospel outreach at The National Ploughing Championships in Ireland over the last 3 years.  If not, follow this link to an article from Precious Seed magazine –

The Lord has once again opened the door for us to have a stand at the 2015 Championships.  This year’s event is being held in the same location as last year (Ratheniska, Stadbally, Co Laois) from the 22nd-24th September.   This central location is serviced by three main motorways close by, providing good access from all parts of Ireland.

As we prepare for this outreach we wanted to contact you to ask  whether or not you would be interested in joining us to assist on our stand this year. We have already been in contact with those who helped last year and whilst many of them plan to return this time around, we do still need additional workers.  In particular, and for a variety of reasons, we do feel strongly that there is a specific need for more female helpers on our stand this year.  So, even if you are unable to join us this year, we would be grateful if you could pass on this information to other believers who may be available.

As in 2014, we have secured accommodation which is located about 15 miles from the Championships venue. We have been able to arrange a special rate of €20 per person per night – this includes the following:

– 1 nights’ accommodation – sharing with up to 3 others per room; bunk-beds; en suite bathroom facilities.

– Breakfast – Cereal and Toast etc (no fry!)

– Packed Lunch

– 1 days Entry to Ploughing Match.

A 3-course evening meal will also be provided at the accommodation venue, for the additional charge of €8 per person per meal.

We would therefore ask you to prayerfully consider coming to help and let us know by Friday 7th August if you will be able to join us, and if so for what duration (1, 2 or 3 days).  You are not compelled, of course, to use the accommodation that we have organised, or to have an evening meal with us; however, if you intend to join us on the stall at any stage during the 3 days it would still be very helpful to know of your plans.

We look forward to hearing from you in due course and trust you will know the Lord’s guidance as you consider this.

In Christ Jesus,

Andy Shanks
